How do you attune when you’re surrounded by so much distraction? 

In this immersing day retreat, we’ll begin to cultivate a state of deep attunement as we journey through six powerful pillars. This exploration will enable you to develop regular practices to live with greater awareness, authenticity, and harmony.

Pillar 1: The Breath:
  • The breath is a powerful gateway to attunement. 
  • Through conscious breathing practices you’ll learn how you can regulate your system, calm your mind and tap into your inner wisdom. By focusing on the breath, you’ll start to understand how you can bring yourself into the present moment, to ground yourself in the here and now.
  • Our senses are windows to the world, providing rich information about our surroundings and our place in them. 
  • By honing your sensory awareness, through nourishing food and grounding exercises you’ll start to experience the beauty and nuances of life. By immersing yourself in the sights, sounds, tastes, smells and textures of your environment, you’ll deepen your connection with the present moment and cultivate a sense of awe and gratitude.
  • Attunement extends to our emotional landscape. 
  • It involves recognising, acknowledging and embracing emotions without judgement. By allowing yourself to fully experience and express your emotions, you’ll create space for healing, growth and self-compassion. Emotional attunement fosters a deeper understanding of yourself and others, promoting empathy and nurturing meaningful connections.
  • Attunement can really flourish within the context of relationships. 
  • It involves deep listening, empathy, and understanding. By attuning to others, in a shared space, you’ll learn how you can create authentic connections and foster harmonious interactions. Attuned relationships support mutual growth, trust and compassion, enriching your life with shared experiences and support.
  • Movement is an integral part of attunement. 
  • Engaging in mindful non-linear movement, you’ll learn how to connect with your body, release stagnant energy, and cultivate a sense of flow. Movement attunement encourages you to listen to the needs of your physical self, honouring our bodies’ wisdom and nurturing vitality.
  • The present moment is the gateway to attunement. 
  • By committing to yourself through attendance at this event you’ll anchor yourself in the here and now. You’ll learn mindfulness practices help develop a non-judgmental awareness of the present, free from distractions and regrets. Problem solver, inventor, world record holder, weekend warrior, dad, breath and cold water meditation coach, psychotherapist and the founder of Urban Ice Tribe. Each role has shaped my path and brought me to where I am today. 

In 2020, during the lockdown, I immersed myself in a frozen barrel, seeking solace for my mental health. The cold water instantly grounded me – I felt present in a way I’d never experienced. From that moment on, I moved from the barrel into the freezer, and ultimately inspiring the birth of Urban Ice Tribe.  

Now, my mission is to build a tribe of like-minded individuals to share this extraordinary journey with.
