Job Title: Workshop and Installation Technician

  Schedule: Monday to Friday, 35-40 hours per week, Willingness to travel: 50% (required)

We are looking for a hands-on, practical individual to join our team as a Workshop & Installation Technician. This is a varied role involving warehouse-based work fabricating, modifying, and assembling ice bath units and system components, as well as potential travel to client sites for installations and fit-outs. Urban Ice Tribe is an innovative leader in the wellness and cold-water immersion space, crafting bespoke, high-performance ice bath systems for individuals, athletes, wellness spaces, and luxury residential environments. You’ll be involved in building our premium ice bath products from the ground up, ensuring high-quality assembly, preparing systems for dispatch, and taking pride in delivering best-in-class installations. As our brand grows, so will your responsibilities and skill set.

Key Responsibilities:

In the Warehouse / Workshop:

• Fabricating and modifying ice bath tanks (e.g. drilling, fitting pipework, installing connectors)
• Assembling chiller systems and preparing them for dispatch or installation

• Creating fixtures and fittings for both residential and commercial set-ups
• Maintaining stock and ensuring all products are prepped and tested before delivery
• Basic woodworking, metalworking, and plumbing tasks related to product assembly
• Upcycling and adapting steel stock tanks and other custom products
• Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient workspace aligned with Urban Ice Tribe’s high standards

On-Site (as the role develops):

• Travelling to client locations to carry out installations and set-ups,
• Liaise with clients on-site and act as a brand ambassador for Urban Ice Tribe
• Ensuring installations meet our high standards and client requirements
• Troubleshooting and resolving minor technical issues during fitouts
• Representing the company in a professional and courteous manner

Skills & Requirements

• Strong practical skills – confident with tools, fittings, plumbing basics
• Experience in fabrication, joinery, or light mechanical/plumbing work desirable
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new systems and installation methods
• Ability to work independently and take initiative
• Full UK driving licence required (essential for eventual site visits)
• Reliable, hardworking, and detail-oriented
• Physically fit – role involves lifting, bending, and working with large equipment

Preferred (Not Essential):

• Experience in hot tub, pool, sauna, or HVAC installations
• Electrical or plumbing qualifications
• Previous workshop or trade experience
• Experience reading technical drawings or plans
